On Friday, disgraced former man Ben Roberts-Smith may find out if his attempts to reverse his defamation loss have been successful.
Roberts-Smith attempted to sue Nine Papers in 2023 for a number of reports alleging that he had committed war offences, but the Federal Court rather determined, based on the general rule of percentages, that the allegations were true.
A decision was delayed by well over a year after an elegance reading took place in February of last year, which spanned over 11 times.
The whole court’s decision on the appeal will be delivered on Friday morning, according to the Federal Court’s press.
The jury is also expected to make its decision regarding Robert-Smith’s interlocutory software.
