Well, if you were also in awe of his gesture and want to try the delicious bowl of Vivian-style halwa? Here’s how to make atta halwa just like Vivian Dsena with these simple steps. 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour,
  • 1 ½ cups sugar,
  • 1 cup water,
  • 4 tablespoons raisins,
  • 4 tablespoons cashews,
  • ¾ cup ghee,
  • ¼ tsp salt (optional),
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom

How to prepare?

Step 1: Start by heating ¼ cup of ghee in a kadai. Add in cashews and raisins and stir-fry them on low heat until turned golden. Strain and set them aside.

Step 2: In the same pan, add some more ghee and roast wheat flour on low flame for about 5 to 6 minutes till it turns golden brown.

Step 3: Once the flour is roasted and toasted well, pour in sugar and milk and stir continuously until the mixture thickens.

Step 4: After 4-5 minutes, pour the remaining ½ cup of ghee slowly and keep cooking on low heat. flame.

Step 5: Mix for 5 to 10 minutes, and you’ll notice that the halwa will start leaving the sides of the pan.

Step 6: At this point, stir in cardamom powder and fried nuts.

Step 7: Serve hot, garnished with chopped dried fruits.
