Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris can still compete for the Formula One subject, but there will be some difficult negotiations after the incident on Sunday in Canada. McLaren may continue to allow them to.
After three laps from the finish, Norris accepted responsibility for hitting the back of his championship-winning American teammate’s car while attempting to beat in a race for fourth place.
The affair between the titleholders, in which Piastri extended his lead by 22 items to 22 while Norris failed to score, was well known and had been anticipated.
Andrea Stella, the team’s main, stated that the team would discuss how to stop it from occurring again once the dust had settled.
” There will surely be good meetings, but they will only occur once we are all rested and at peace,” the Italian told investigators.
He stated that the group may work to “maintain our equality and justice in terms of how we go racing at McLaren between our two individuals.”
Being free to compete and being clear about our approach to race are both values, he continued.
Instead of having control from the pit wall whenever we are close to the two cars, we want to consider and training and regard it as much as we can.
” We want to provide Lando and Oscar the opportunities to competition and the chance to be in the positions they deserve to be in at the end of the season.”
Stella suggested that the items should reflect the owners ‘ efforts rather than any team rules.
Although this is not always a straightforward training, we want to try our best to do it as much as we can,” he said. So I don’t anticipate that the show may alter how we approach things in this regard.
If something, it will show that our drivers must use more prudence in accordance with the principles we have.
Stella praised Norris ‘ ownership of responsibility and remarked that the affair was merely a basic misinterpretation of distance rather than an intense statement of intent.
He acknowledged that the driver’s self-assurance may be questioned because he was always open to his emotions and prone to lay the blame for a name battle that was extremely going Piastri’s way, but Norris could rely on him for every support.
” On this one, I want to get absolutely apparent,” Stella remarked. It gives Lando its total support. We may have conversations, and they might be even more difficult. But there is no denying the help we offer Lando.
” Lando himself will have to present his personality to get past this kind of event. Make sure he merely takes what will help him become a stronger driver and that he just takes what he learned.
With only 14 races left, Piastri has won five of the previous ten races, losing to Norris ‘ two.
On June 29th, the second competition will take place in Austria.
