Blake Shelton’s marriage with Gwen Stefani” also feels new”.
The couple will celebrate their 10th anniversary up later this year but the 48-year-old state star admitted it doesn’t feel like so much time has passed for himself and the No Doubt frontwoman, who he went on to marry in 2021.
He told Citizens magazine:” It actually does ]feel like time is flying by]. Some of the items that we talk about, we’re to the point in our marriage that it’s like,’ Oh, remember what happened…’ and you realise,’ Oh my God, that was eight years ago!’
” It’s like, how did this happen so fast?
” 10 years is a long time]but the relationship ] still feels novel for me.
” I feel like that might be the key to happiness, is that it feels really as interesting and innovative and content.”
Although Blake is now promoting his new recording,’ For Recreational Use Simply’, he is looking forward to a family summer with Gwen and her sons Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and 11-year-old Apollo- whose father is Gavin Rossdale- though they haven’t already made any plans.
He said:” I’m looking forward to the kids being out of college. Gwen and I pretty much had our seasons large available. We both have a few displays here and there, but everything that’s tying us down to keep us from going and doing something fun.
” We don’t have any ideas — which is our favorite program”.
Gwen, 55, appears on’ Hangin’ On’ on Blake’s fresh record and he admitted they spend “months” talking about their cooperation, though she is “way more special” about songs than he is.
He said:” We live together, so we walk around the house singing these songs all the time and we have months to talk about,’ Hey, maybe you jump on that part.’
” By the time we get to the theater, we’re normally truly prepared.
” Gwen is much more particular when it comes to a song. I’ve always been as much of a fanatic as she is. It’s actually important for her to be able to observe herself in the poetry that she’s singing vs. me. I’ve sung on going to prison, and there’s never really been a conversation”.
The couple recorded another record but have decided to hold it up for Blake’s next report.
He continued,” We were both so excited about both of them that we ended up holding one up for the next job.”
