Bad Bunny made his Puerto Rican community proud during the highly anticipated Super Bowl LX half-time performance, where he sang a range of his popular Spanish hits and brought out plenty of surprise guests.

The 31-year-old singer and rapper, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, took to the Levi’s Stadium field, making history as the first Spanish performer to headline, and he made it a night to remember.

Starting the show in a sugar cane field as a tribute to the generations of farmers and field workers who helped build Puerto Rico into what it is today, he kicked the action off with his hit song Tití Me Preguntó.

Inside the thoughtfully-planned plantation, a house party got underway with several nods to his culture, including piragua (shaved ice) carts, domino tables and garitas (sentry box) like the ones in Old San Juan.

Dressed in a white leather football jersey with his mother’s last name, Ocasio, embroidered on the back, the star completed his outfit by wearing his newly announced Adidas shoe, the BadBo 1.0.

Throughout the set, he held an old-school leather football with the message “Together we are America”, which was a nice touch.

As Bad Bunny continued his set packed full of hits from a range of his discography to his recent album DebÍ Tirar Más Fotos, which won Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammy Awards, an array of celebrity friends were spotted on stage.

Cardi B, Karol G, Jessica Alba, Young Miko, Alix Earle and Pedro Pascal partied it up while boxers Emiliano Vargas and Xander Zayas made cameos, along with Atlanta Braves right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr.

And if his show couldn’t get any bigger, Lady Gaga appeared.

The American singer-songwriter stunned in a blue dress for her surprise cameo, where she sang a salsa version of her collaboration with Bruno Mars Die With a Smile, and even shared a dance break with Bad Bunny himself.

Benito also honoured original breakthrough Puerto Rican icon Ricky Martin by bringing him out to perform his rendition of Bad Bunny’s Lo que le pasó a Hawaii.

In a message of unity, the global sensation shouted out multiple Latin American countries worldwide—from the Dominican Republic, to Chile, to Mexico, to Argentina — before ending the performance with the titular track from Debi Tirar Mas Fotos.

From high-profile figures to everyday fans, it seemed the majority of people watching the performance had huge praise for the star.

From applauding Benito for his lively, upbeat energy to using his status as a voice for the people of Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny was a vibe despite the whole show sung in Spanish.

Ahead of his performance, Bad Bunny told fans they didn’t need to learn Spanish to enjoy the show.

“People only have to worry about dance,” he said.

“They don’t even have to learn Spanish. It’s better if they learn to dance. There’s no better dance than the one that can come from the heart … that’s the only thing they need to worry about, to have fun and enjoy, and of course, choose your team at the game.”

The Seattle Seahawks, who ended up winning the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots, took to social media to share a Spanish message, which translates to: “Much more than an artist. A voice that represents millions. Thank you Benito.”
