Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei struck a defiant tone amid escalating attacks, saying targeted killings and strikes will not weaken the country’s military. In a post on Telegram, he declared that “assassinations and crimes” would not disrupt Iran’s armed forces.
His remarks came as Israel said it had killed Asghar Bakeri, a leader within the Revolutionary Guard’s Quds Force. Israeli military spokesman Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani said Bakeri had planned attacks on Israeli and American targets, as well as operations in Israel, Syria and Lebanon.

Mojtaba Khamenei denounced what he described as Donald Trump’s threats to push Iran back to the “Stone Age”, saying “the enemy is recklessly saying that it wants to return Iran to the Stone Age” through its attacks.
He accused the US and Israel of targeting civilian infrastructure, including bridges, power plants and schools, calling such actions “manifestations of a crime against humanity that the US government and the murderous Israeli regime have committed”.
“It is a pity that they are beating the drum of war, threats, and destruction more and more every day, while international institutions remain silent and indifferent, and perhaps even complicit in the aggression,” he said.
