The indignities just keep piling up for disgraced former prince Andrew but this one might sting slightly more than others.

Having fallen from grace after his sordid relationship with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein was publicly exposed, Mountbatten-Windsor is now paying the consequences.

His brother King Charles has stripped him of his royal titles and military honours and booted him from his luxury 31-room royal mansion, he’s also under investigation by police on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

While the 66-year-old has always denied any wrongdoing, this has not stopped an avalanche of humiliation for Mountbatten-Windsor.

The latest involves daughters Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, who, while buffeted by the fallout from their father’s alleged indiscretions have managed to retain their royal titles amid the storm of the scandal.

A fact royal watcher Andrew Lownie, who wrote the biography Entitled about the former prince and the rise and fall of the House of York, says will hurt the former prince for one specific reason — he will have to bow to his own daughters.

“Andrew of course stands on ceremony, titles and all these things are very, very important to him, and the pecking order and people bowing and curtseying,” Mr Lownie said on his substack, The Lownie Report.

“I think this is what is going to upset him now, his own daughters; he will have to bow to them.”

His fellow royal biographer and commentator Robert Hardman agreed Andrew would be forced to humble himself and bow.

“He will have to bow to everybody – that’s assuming he’s in the room with the rest of the family,” he told the Daily Mail, pointing out that he wouldn’t be happy with that scenario.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has largely kept out of the public eye since his arrest on February 19, with his movements reportedly strictly controlled by King Charles.

He is reportedly not allowed to leave the Sandringham estate without explicit permission and a chaperone – much like a child.

The ex-duke is also not allowed to have visitors unless they are approved well in advance.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has also been banned from partaking in one of his long-held hobbies – horse riding.

Royal aides have told him to hang up his saddle and bridle, fearing that him being seen grinning while out horse riding would be a “bad look”.
