Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been stripped of many privileges since his recent arrest, but now his home is overrun with a stinky problem.

The disgraced former prince has been hiding from the public eye at his new home in Sandringham while UK police continue to probe his dealings with convicted sex-trafficker Jeffrey Eptein.

He was taken into custody on his 66th birthday on the suspicion of misuse of public office, in relation to giving Epstein private information while he was trade envoy.

The ex-duke was booted from the Royal Lodge and has since been holed up at Wood Farm, where he is now facing a gross new inconvenience.

As part of a gardening frenzy, large amounts of manure have been smothered over newly planted trees on the property.

The Daily Mail has reported that Andrew can’t escape the overwhelming smell – especially since the palace has him following their own “bail” conditions in which he is totally restricted to the property.

The use of chemical fertilisers on the estate has been banned since King Charles took it over in 2018, when he was the Prince of Wales.

And it appears the unpleasant smell will follow him to Marsh Farm on the Norfolk estate where he is expected to live in the long term.

At Marsh, a giant pile of manure has been dumped less than 200 metres away from the house, the interior of which was just renovated.

Locals appeared quite pleased at Andrew’s stinky predicament.

“There has been a whiff of scandal around Andrew for a long time, so it is fitting that he should be exposed to the smells of the countryside,” one local said.

Another local speculated that King Charles was in control of the property, and so the manure move might be his way of “trying to tell him something”.

Andrew’s time at Wood Farm is looking pretty bleak. He is bound by rules that his brother has imposed, including an inability to leave the estate without explicit permission and a chaperone.

Further, any visitors must also be approved well in advance – though it seems the people he might most want to see, his daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, won’t be popping over anytime soon.

In a humiliating blow, Andrew has also been barred from horse riding after royal aides feared the activity would be a “bad look” amidst the ongoing investigation.

“Since his arrest last week he has been ordered not to go horse riding. It’s considered a bad look,” a source told The Sun.

“They don’t think he should be seen grinning and smiling on his horse like he was in Windsor.

“But it was one of the few things he actually enjoyed doing so what on earth is he going to do with his time?”
