Australia’s first Dave & Buster’s is set to officially open its doors in Clarkson this April, more than a year after the project received planning approval.

Details of the 2000sqm venue have now been announced which will be east of Ocean Keys Shopping Centre on the site of the former Good Guys warehouse.

The venue will feature a custom-built 40-foot sports screen, more than 30 ultra-HD screens showing live sport, a “mega” arcade with a dedicated Win Room, and a full bar with an American-inspired menu “reimagined for Australian tastes”.

The venue will be operated by NightOwl Entertainment, the WA-based hospitality and entertainment group behind popular spots such as The Lookout in Scarborough, social darts venue Flight Club, and Print Hall.

NightOwl Entertainment CEO David Heaton said he expected the American-style sports bar to become an entertainment landmark for the northern suburbs.

“This venue is truly next level, and we can’t wait to open the doors and show Perth what we’ve been working on,” Mr Heaton said.

“Clarkson gives us the space to do this properly, from the scale of the screens to the energy of the arcade and the quality of the food.”

The food menu will include American classics such as burgers, wings, sliders, and share plates, reworked with Australian ingredients and flavours, while the bar will include signature cocktails, frosty pints, mocktails, and happy hour specials.

The project received State planning approval in February 2025, subject to conditions.

The venue will be able to host a maximum of 800 patrons and is permitted to operate from 11am to midnight Sundays to Thursdays, and from 11am to 1am Fridays and Saturdays.

It was first announced in June 2023 that Dave & Buster’s would roll out five stores in Australia.

Founded in 1982 in Dallas, Texas, Dave & Buster’s now has 170 locations worldwide, most of which are in North America.

NightOwl Entertainment said further details of the Clarkson venue, including the full arcade games line-up and official opening date, would be announced shortly.
