An air ambulance carrying seven people on board crashed near Ranchi in Jharkhand while en route to Delhi, officials said.
The aircraft took off from Ranchi on Monday evening for Delhi. It crashed in a forest near Karmatand village under Simaria police station limits in Chatra district while flying towards Delhi.
The Air Traffic Control (ATC) lost contact with the aircraft, according to initial information. Ranchi airport director confirmed, speaking to India that an air ambulance had crashed near Chatra a little while ago.
