After the Sea Eagles fired their head coach merely three matches into the NRL time, Anthony Seibold’s tenure as Muscular manager is over.

Seibold was scheduled to meet with Masculine bosses on Friday less than 24 hours after Sea Eagles legend Daly Cherry-Evans sunk the sock into the club at Brookvale.

He was informed that that he would not continue to be a coach, with Manly now considering options to take his place for the duration of the season as well as the rest of his coaching career.

Midway through next year, Seibold had been under pressure to stay at the company, but Manly managers wanted to give him a chance as his situation deteriorated as a result.

However, the league’s managers did not notice any signs of improvement in the first three games of the time, with Powerful still winless and having lost their first three at home.

Seibold was therefore forced to leave the Sea Eagles ‘ time less than a month into the 2026 campaign, with the intention that it would give them more time to recover.

After the 51-year-old coach’s 33-16 loss to the Sydney Roosters on Friday night, when Cherry-Evans played a key role for the visitors and sparked the fans ‘ chant” Seibold out,” the fans climbed to the top of the standings.

In the end, it took less than a day for them to become granted their desire.

Jim Dymock and Kieran Foran serve as assistant tutors at Masculine, who could step in as interim instructors.

Willie Peters, who recently agreed to take on the fresh PNG NRL company, is one instructor they didn’t look at longer term. It is believed that Muscular has previously spoken to Peters.

After working as a Muscular helper in 2013, Brad Arthur would be one of the options. Another player is Matt Ballin, who would appeal to the team’s older players.

In 2023, Seibold replaced Des Hasler as Muscular mentor and the Sea Eagles won the finals the next year.

At the end of 2024, he received a contract extension for the 2026 and 2027 times, but he has only been given a three-game suspension.

Seibold’s winning percentage was 48 %, with 37 wins, 38 loss, and two draws in just over three years at the club.

Seibold is the first head to get fired this season’s opener since Jason Taylor did so at Wests TIgers in 2017.
