Brooklyn Beckham has publicly celebrated his grandfather Anthony Adams’s 80th birthday.
Months after his dramatic public fallout with parents David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, the 27-year-old influencer shared a photograph on Instagram showing himself sitting alongside Anthony – the father of his estranged mother Victoria – as he paid tribute to him on his milestone birthday.
The social media message comes amid continuing tension inside the Beckham family after Brooklyn claimed earlier this year he did “not want to reconcile” with his parents and accused them of attempting to control the public narrative surrounding their family’s every movement.
Brooklyn wrote online alongside a snap of him sitting beside Anthony: “Happy 80th Birthday papa.
“I love you so much.”
Earlier in the day, Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz, 31, shared photographs from what she described as a date outing with Brooklyn, documenting the pair spending time together during a salon appointment before later drinking wine at a bar.
Nicola wrote on Instagram: “My best friend took me to the salooon.”
The photographs showed Nicola having her hair styled while Brooklyn sat beside her.
In another image, the pair touched fingers while posing for a mirror selfie.
Additional pictures showed Nicola sitting beneath a hair dryer while Brooklyn crouched beside her smiling for the camera.
Nicola also later posted a photograph of a large bouquet of pink roses, thanking Brooklyn for the gift.
The pair’s latest social media posts arrive after months of reports about divisions inside the Beckham family, which escalated publicly in January when Brooklyn issued a strongly worded statement on Instagram denying he was being controlled by Nicola and accusing his parents of briefing the press.
Brooklyn said at the time in his six-post statement: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.”
He added: “Unfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
Brooklyn continued: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
The statement sent shockwaves through celebrity circles because of the Beckhams’ long-standing public image as one of Britain’s most closely followed families.
His father Sir David, 51, remains one of the world’s most famous footballers following his careers with Manchester United, Real Madrid and the England national football team, while Victoria, 52, first rose to fame in Spice Girls before establishing a luxury fashion label.
Brooklyn later alleged his mother behaved “in an inappropriate way” during his wedding celebrations with Nicola in 2022, further fuelling reports of tensions between Nicola and Victoria that had circulated since the ceremony in Florida.
Reports earlier this year also claimed Brooklyn had sent his parents a legal notice instructing them to communicate through lawyers and not tag him on social media.
Amid the family tensions, Brooklyn and Nicola have continued presenting a united front online, regularly sharing photographs from trips, date nights and fashion events.
Nicola, daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, has also continued acting projects while Brooklyn has focused on food and lifestyle ventures following earlier photography and cooking projects.
