After a diligent batting and bowling display on moment two, Bangladesh have tightened their hold on the second Test against Pakistan.

On Sunday, Bangladesh’s opening score, 52-run opener, helped them achieve 3-110, extending their entire lead to 156 at trunks.

In less favorable circumstances, Bangladesh had a 46-run result in bowling-friendly problems after fast bowler Nahid Rana and left-arm spin Taijul Islam had already taken three wickets each.

After Litton Das ‘ magnificent 126 on the opening day, Bangladesh were bowled out for 278 in their beginning pitches.

Nahid, who had just five wickets to go in Bangladesh’s 104-run success in the first test, was key in denying Pakistan a first-innings guide.

He broke the resistance of Sajid Khan ( 38 ) to close out the Pakistan innings by dismissing star batter Babar Azam, who made a team-best 68 on his return.

After the guests resumed on Sunday at 0-21, Taskin Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan combined for four innings to put Pakistan in trouble.

In his first two overs of the day, Taskin (2-37 ) dismissed openers Azan Awais and Abdullah Fazal to put Bangladesh on the front foot.

Abdullah Fazal, who had just scored his mini half-centuries in the first Evaluation, edged a shipping back after scoring nine.

Taskin next fiercely swung past Awais, a soldier in the first Test, who pushed the shipping to short-leg when the delivery was 13-foot.

Before Mehidy (2-21 ) ended the 38-run partnership when Masood hit a short ball straight to the fielder at short cover for 21 ), Captain Shan Masood and Babar temporarily halted the slide.

Saud Shakeel (eight ) was then dismissed by Mehidy to leave Babar with important work to do to keep Pakistan in the match.

Babar hit paceman Shoriful Islam for a limit to make his 31st fifty off 63 balloons, and the ball continued to dominate until Nahid unleashed a stunning beauty that stifled him.

After being perplexed by the brilliant variation of speed from Nahid, Babar, who struck 10 restrictions in his 84-ball-knock, broken right to Mushfiqur Rahim, putting an end to the 63-run collaboration with Agha.
