Former AFL WAG Bec Judd has jumped back on the Eagles’ bandwagon ahead of this weekend’s ‘06 premiership celebration, offering a tribute to her legendary husband Chris and his “golden years” at the club.

Twenty years on from West Coast’s third premiership, a host of past players are set to to return for a guard of honour and victory lap at Optus Stadium as the Eagles take on Richmond on Saturday afternoon.

In a nostalgic Instagram carousel shared on Thursday, the club acknowledged the roles of several premiership “heroes” including Dean Cox, Rowan Jones, Ben Cousins, and of course, two-time club champion Chris Judd.

One image depicted captain Chris rocking tinted shades and holding the cup aloft as a sea of fans in yellow and blue cheered behind him.

Reminiscing on the emotional year, Bec offered her side of events while poking fun at her husband’s style choices.

“It’s the sunnies + the hair for me,” she wrote, reposting the image.

“Young, dumb and not realising the gravity of this moment in time. These were the golden years.”

Before moving to Carlton and his home state of Victoria at the end of 2007, Chris played 134 games for the Eagles after debuting in 2002, and claimed a Brownlow Medal in 2004.

He would later claim his second Brownlow at Carlton in 2010.

While present to support her then-boyfriend at the flashy Melbourne awards in 2004, Bec famously wore a plunging red dress that drew extra eyes on the couple and put her on the radar of fashion designers across the country.

The mother of four has since co-founded her activewear label JAGGAD, partnered with lifestyle and luxury brands, and launched her Vain-ish podcast, among several public-facing ventures.
