Producer Ektaa Kapoor has shared a major update on her hit supernatural show Naagin 7, confirming that the current season will soon come to an end, with plans to bring it back next year.
In her Instagram stories, Ektaa addressed the buzz around the show’s future and clarified that the decision to wrap up the season was partly driven by scheduling. “I’m here to give some update on Nagin. Guys, I had done that post yesterday and I didn’t realise that we were like quitting a storm, but um, Yeah, so we were supposed to end in April now because of the channel’s request. We’re ending on my birthday,” she said.

She further explained that the season was initially planned as a shorter run but was later extended. “None of the Naagin seasons was supposed to be like this one. This was supposed to be just a 30 episode. But we extended it for 48 and then we will be back next year,” Ektaa added.
In another video, the producer elaborated on her decision to opt for shorter seasons going forward. “So, in order to have Naagin back every year, we should do shorter seasons so that I don’t have to give all my time, and I can go back to doing other things already it’s an extended season And to be back next year, we need a break,” she said.
The finale of Naagin 7 is now set to air on June 7, which also coincides with Ektaa Kapoor’s birthday.
The current season features Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary in the lead role, with the storyline recently focusing on an intense love triangle involving her character. The makers have also introduced several new characters in the lead-up to the finale to heighten the drama and keep viewers engaged.
Since its premiere, Naagin 7 has remained a strong performer on television ratings charts, often competing with top shows for viewership. With the announcement of its wrap, fans can expect a high-voltage conclusion before the franchise returns with a new season next year.
