Adelaide Crows captain Jordan Dawson’s elder brother Jaryd is missing, with his wife issuing an urgent plea for information on his whereabouts.

On Wednesday morning, Jaryd’s wife Jessica posted on Instagram and Facebook asking if anyone had heard from him.

“If anyone has seen or heard from Jaryd since around 2.30pm yesterday please please let us know,” she wrote, tagging Jaryd’s mother and sister Marian Dawson and Chloe Cane.

In a statement to this masthead, SA police said: “Police, with the assistance of emergency services, are currently searching for a 35-year-old man in Robe. We are not providing any further comment at this time due to privacy principles.”

In a press conference, Crows coach Matthew Nicks said his skipper Jordan was absent from training.

“Dawson won’t train unfortunately for personal reasons,” Nicks said during his regular press conference.

Jaryd is the vice captain of the Robe Roosters and is the co-founder of boutique home building company Domus Design and Build.

Jaryd and Jessica got married in late 2024 before welcoming their first child together in September.

The Crows have been contacted for comment.
