Two people have been killed in a head-on collision south-west of Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to Ipswich Boonah Road near Ellison Road in Purga just after 12:30 Monday afternoon.
Paramedics assessed two people at the scene, but neither were taken to hospital.
The road has been closed at Carmichaels Road, north of the crash, and police have advised drivers to find an alternate route.
It’s the second fatal crash in the region in two days, after a 52-year-old man was killed in a three-vehicle crash at Tambourine Mountain in the Gold Coast hinterland on Sunday.
Police said the man was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a four-wheel-drive and a sedan.
He was airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he later died.
Two men in their 20s who were passengers in the sedan were also helicoptered to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver and two people travelling in the 4WD were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
