Jy Simpkin’s set-shot from ther arc had the accuracy but not the distance.
Never fear, said Kangaroos fans, as Trembath leapt high to take a breathtaking mark above the pack inside the goal square.
He nailed his shot from right in front, giving the Kangaroos hope close to three-quarter time.

Allen gives Lions more breathing space
Oscar Allen has three goals for the afternoon.
Marking on the lead inside the attacking 50, he kicked the Lions’ ninth major of the match to set up a 23-point lead over the Kangaroos.

Draper finishes off stunning Lions movement
Sam Draper joins the score sheet for the Lions.
The Lions created a turnover inside their defensive 50, before swiftly moving the ball up field.
Draper had one opponent to beat close to goal when the ball was bombed in, but he got his right boot to the pill to dribble through the Lions’ eighth major.

It’s a four-quarter game, obviously, but the Bombers remain alive against the Demons at half-time.
They trail by a single goal at main break.

The angle on goal wasn’t helpful but a banana kick did the job for May, who claimed his opening major of the match.
