Darling with the first non-free kick goal of the day
The Kangaroos finally get a clearance and it yields instant dividends!
Harry Sheezel sends one inside 50 and Jack Darling takes a terrific grab running back with the flight of the ball.
Darling, who is back after playing in the VFL last week, kicks the easy set shot from 20m out.

Larkey on the board after being bowled over
Nick Larkey gets a gift from Jacob Weitering!
The Roos send one long inside 50 and Weitering completely bowls over Larkey in a marking contest.
Larkey made the most of that contact, it must be said, but the free kick was there.
Larkey nails the easy set shot from 20m out on a slight angle.

Kemp strikes after Curtis gives away 50m penalty
After missing a snap from close range, Brodie Kemp makes no mistake this time!
A brain fade from Paul Curtis on the wing as he ran into the protected area when Kemp had the ball near the interchange bench.
That’s the kind of thing that’ll drive Clarko nuts in the coaches box.

Curtis goals as sparks fly over O’Sullivan hit
Paul Curtis gets the Kangaroos on the board after a down-field free kick.
Finn O’Sullivan steps through traffic in the middle of the ground and then is nailed with a bump from Will Hayward a split second after he kicked the footy.
O’Sullivan’s teammates aren’t impressed at all in that and come in to have a word and a push and shove with Hayward.
A bit of feeling in this one early!

Pittonet gets Carlton on the board first
Marc Pittonet has been a bit of a goalkicker for Carlton so far!
Callum Coleman-Jones, who is a stand-in ruckman for the Roos in the absence of Tristan Xerri, gives away a free kick at a stoppage deep inside 50 for Carlton.
Pittonet drills the easy set shot.

Zurhaar misses early set shot as Blues ball-watch
Carlton is lucky to get away with some lax defending around the ground.
Cam Zurhaar has an easy set shot from 35m out on a slight angle, but sprays it badly.
Colby McKercher’s already got five touches, all kicks, inside the first four minutes.
Play underway between Kangaroos and Blues
We’re off and running at Docklands Stadium for Good Friday footy!
O’Sullivan starts on Walsh at the first bounce as we predicted might happen.

Players form guard of honour for kids
This is arguably the best part of the entire slate of footy on Easter weekend.
Kids from the Royal Children’s Hospital are running out sharing some high fives with their heroes as they run through the purple Good Friday Appeal banner.
How good is this!

The teams are out on the ground
The Kangaroos come out first, on a high after their 12-point win against Essendon last week.
They’re followed by the Blues, who seemingly have the weight of the world on their shoulders.
What a difference four premiership points make.
We’re just under 15 minutes away from the first bounce.

Will North deploy the Finn O’Sullivan tag again?
Finn O’Sullivan had Zach Merrett in a body bag last week as North beat Essendon.
I wonder whether Alastair Clarkson sends him to either Sam Walsh, Jagga Smith or Patrick Cripps this afternoon?
O’Sullivan and Walsh are actually cousins, so I wonder if this could be a rematch from an Easter Sunday runaround in the backyard from a decade ago!
Which one would you tag out of the trio?

Are Carlton’s fadeouts all Voss’s fault?
At this level if a club keeps giving up big leads then obviously change is needed . Sadly as in all high level sport the coach (or manager in soccer circles) cops it.
– Phillip
It’s interesting that a lot of the fadeouts come directly after half-time as well.
I wonder if Carlton has really dug deep into what the team’s process is during that big break, because whatever they’re doing isn’t quite working at the moment.

Voss keeping it ‘simple’ amid all the chaos
Michael Voss explaining what he did after last week’s disappointing loss to Melbourne.
“I keep it really simple. Our job as coaches is to make the complex simple,” he tells Fox Footy.
“It takes 120 minutes to win these games.”

Is today a must-win for Michael Voss?
An absolute TON of pressure on Carlton coach Michael Voss heading into this afternoon’s game.
Carlton is a very angsty club right now after being beaten by the Demons.
The Blues have traditionally bossed the Kangaroos around on Good Friday. Man do they need a result like that this afternoon.
The Kangaroos are looking for their first Good Friday win since 2018.
North has lost its last two Good Friday clashes to Carlton by 56 and 82 points.
North Melbourne vs Carlton team news — No late changes
Both North Melbourne and Carlton will line up as originally selected this afternoon.
Here’s how the two team line-ups will look:

Both are set to be excellent contests, so sit back and strap yourselves in as we bring you all the action.
