Jack Darling, a veteran of North Melbourne’s AFL team, is far from a proven power, according to his captain.

The 33-year-old major ahead has plenty to offer, according to Nick Larkey, who did line up in assault against Carlton on Good Friday alongside a recalled Darling.

The support comes after Darling was dumped from the group last week after going goalless against his former team West Coast.

He also has a significant role for us, Larkey said.

It was more a directional choice than a need to be influenced by his performance.

It had to do with what we wanted to do in our rucks and how we wanted to balance the intensity of CJ ( Callum Coleman-Jones ) and X ( Tristan Xerri ) in the ruck.

Princess scored three goals in the VFL and earned a senior understand following Xerri’s suspension for serious wrongdoing after stowing blood on Essendon commander Andrew McGrath.

Darling scored one goal in the round-one victory over Port Adelaide and was North’s fourth-most famous goal scorer overall, with 24 in 22 games in 2012.

He “is playing really robust footy with the hours he’s got on the industry,” he said.

He has a huge appearance and is trustworthy, so you can trust him.

” So JD won’t be the last day we see him,” he said.

Lachy Dovaston ( managed ) was Lachy’s replacement for the game against Carlton at Marvel Stadium, and Zac Banch, a fellow small forward, made two changes.

Wade Derksen and Nic Newman will make their debuts after missing the entire 2025 season with a major knee injuries, according to the under-fire Blues.

Additionally, Zac Williams ( ribs ) and young defender Harry Dean ( concussion ) are returning, along with Adam Cerra and Jordan Boyd.

The Kangaroos (1-1 ) are aiming to keep their positive start to the season, while Carlton (1-1 ) are desperately looking for a solution after squandering a 43-point lead in their loss to Melbourne last week.
