Noah Schnapp appears to have abandoned her desire to start a new marriage.

The Stranger Things actor, who came out as gay in January 2023, took to his Instagram account on Wednesday ( 1 April ) to celebrate his one-month anniversary with a mysterious man, but he now claims the post was a joke.

He simply stated in a new Instagram Story slide posted on Thursday ( 02.04.26 ):” April fools]blowing kiss emoji] ( sic )”.

Noah and a mystery man were seen posing for a photo on his and another puzzle man’s arms as they were surrounded by one another and facing the cameras in the first Instagram Story post.

One month of us ]heart emoji] ( sic ) was the caption of the post.

Noah recently reflected on how playing Will Byers, who is also queer, in Stranger Things had made him feel more at ease with himself.

He stated in a statement to GQ publication,” Seeing how the universe accepts Will and embraces him has taught me over the years to feel okay in who I am and how I express myself…

It didn’t really help me discover my sexual personality. It taught me that being who I am as a person is okay.

And I think that’s what makes our present thus unique, and what makes Will so unique. It resonates with all people who feel diverse, not just gay people.

Noah has spent the majority of his life believing he was” not part of the group” and “always that strange person on the side,” but playing Will has helped him accept the characteristics that set him apart from others.

He said, “I’ll carry that with me throughout my living.”

The actor, age 21, recently admitted that his friends and family weren’t surprised when he came up.

He told Variety,” When I finally told my friends and family that I was gay, they all said,” We know,”” We were scared in the bedroom for 18 years.”

Noah made an emotional entrance on TikTok after reading the messages of support that he had received.

He continued,” I didn’t want to sit there anxiously anticipating what people would say. I just wanted to throw it all away, feel confident in who I am, and be clear about my decision-making.

When I opened my telephone, it was like a thousand messages of rainbow flags, hearts, congratulations, and thanks.

” I was crying,” I said. I thought,” I made it. I’m done. I don’t need to fear,””
