Aussie morning TV presenter Kylie Gillies has accidentally dropped an X-rated gaffe live on-air, leaving her co-host absolutely hysterical as the pair struggled to finish the segment.

Channel 7’s The Morning Show host had begun to address the impacts of green noise on sleep when she got tongue tied reading the teleprompter and harmlessly let out a C-bomb.

Stumbling briefly, Gillies caught herself and continued to recite her lines before turning away from the camera mortified.

Sat beside her, Sally Bowry immediately clocked the blunder and contained her excitement before throwing back to the popular figure.

The two quickly became overcome with laughter, with a red-faced Gillies burying her head in her hands before gazing sheepishly back at viewers.

The clip was posted to social media on Tuesday after the show that morning with the caption: “10/10 for keeping it together 🤣”.

It offered the long-time host an opportunity to explain herself, which she wasted no time in doing.

“I AM SO SORRY. I saw ‘colour’, was reading ahead to ‘chat’ ..and ended up somewhere in between 😬😬😬”, Gillies wrote.

A raft of the presenter’s colleagues and fellow media personalities swiftly chimed in, with some pushing the boundaries themselves.

“Exactly the word I use when I’m staring at the ceiling 3am 😂😂😂😂”, personal trainer and TV personality Michelle Bridges teased.

“That’s my girl and that’s why we LOVE LOVE our Kylie forever. We all slip up ❤️🙌👏😍”, actor Hugh Sheridan said.

Referencing the alternatives to “green” noise Gillies had mentioned earlier in the piece, swimming legend Leisel Jones took the joke a step further.

“Well pink and brown is technically correct 💁‍♀️”, she commented.

Regular guest Sami Lukis admitted she’d had a similarly experience to Gillies, suggesting it may take the presenter some time to recover.

“You’re the best Kyles ! I’ve done that once before as well. Takes a while to get over it 😳😳,” Lukis said.

Within earshot of the error, Gillies’ co-host thanked her for adding spice to the morning.

“Kylie you are the best I needed that laugh!!! The best of the day 😂,” Bowrey remarked.
