Kimi Antonelli, an Italian student, says he wants to stay raising the bar after the Japanese Grand Prix made Formula One story.

The 19-year-old’s victory on Sunday at Suzuka made him the youngest final leader in the sport, breaking Lewis Hamilton’s history of seven-times world hero that he replaced at Mercedes.

In his 2007 debut season, Hamilton led the status as a 22-year-old.

Antonelli became the first Roman to win consecutive Formula One races since Alberto Ascari in 1953.

Antonelli, who just won his first Formula One championship in China two weeks ago, has a nine-point guide over teammate George Russell in the second round of the period.

It’s great, of course, but there’s still a long way to proceed.

I believe we must keep putting our mind over and raising the bar, he continued.

Antonelli, who had started from shaft, had fallen to sixth place after a slow start.

Oliver Bearman’s high-speed collision, which he had to stop in, was caused by an ideal timed safety car that was deployed in response to his rivals, who were already pitted in total racing conditions, running at reduced speed.

Antonelli acknowledged that the safety car had made it easier for him to win, but the race’s minute half saw him struggle with the difficult tyres and his aching pace.

For the next consecutive race trip, partner Russell, who won the season opener in Australia, was put on the back legs due to minor gremlins.

He would have won the lead if the Briton had pitted before turning around a shoulder afterwards. He ended up fifth overall.

Antonelli of his teammate:” I think he’s evidently a super, very strong, quite complete driver.

He said,” I think he showed up many times last year, and that’s why it’s going to be difficult, and that’s why I need to do everything as flawlessly as possible.” “
