A woman’s death has been discovered in a home in Morayfield, northeast of Brisbane, causing a criminal investigation.

Police confirmed a murder image has been discovered at the house.

Officers responded to a security check at a Hinchinbrook Circuit residence around 2.38pm, according to a declaration from the police.

A 40-year-old girl was discovered dead inside the home.

The cause of suicide is still being investigated.
