According to IIT Delhi’s announcement on social media, the programme is open to UG and PG students, with the university describing it as an opportunity for exceptionally qualified students to work on research and development projects.

For selected students, the scheme includes several practical benefits. IIT Delhi will cover travel by train in sleeper class within the country, arrange stay on campus with boarding and lodging in the institute hostels, and provide a fellowship of Rs 2,000 per week.

Students will register as visiting students and will not pay the institute registration fee, although they must arrange insurance for the period of stay themselves.
