Quirky, mysterious and slightly unsettling, the makers of the upcoming drama Welcome to Khoya Mahal have dropped its first teaser, offering a glimpse into a world where nothing is quite what it seems. Headlined by Aditi Rao Hydari and Barun Sobti, the upcoming Prime Video series promises an offbeat mix of drama and intrigue.
Actor-filmmaker Konkona Sensharma returns as co-creator and director, alongside Jaydeep Sarkar. The show was unveiled as part of Prime Video India’s 2026 slate announcement.

The minute-long teaser introduces viewers to the eerie charm of Khoya Mahal, a fading heritage hotel run by estranged half-siblings. It opens with Aditi’s character welcoming guests with a calm, almost deceptive assurance of “peace and tranquillity,” before quickly cutting to glimpses of eccentric characters and an increasingly strange atmosphere.

According to the official synopsis, the story follows Kanishk and Kanupriya – ex-royals bound by a crumbling inheritance – who are forced to take over their family’s remote hotel. Hoping to escape their circumstances, they devise a risky plan, only to realise that the mansion may have plans of its own.
The series also features Aparna Sen, Harish Khanna, Dhruv Sehgal and Master Luca Adhikari in key roles. It is written by Hussain Haidry, Jaydeep Sarkar, Konkona Sensharma and Genesia Alves, and produced by Smriti Jain, Gaurav Mishra, Sensharma and Sarkar under Dramsoc.
