It was weird at the time and a real head scratcher by the time the game was over when Nick Daicos was patrolling the people ‘ aircraft to start the second half on Saturday night.
Daicos was positioned away from the location where the sport was being decided in what proved to be the crucial third of the day. He only touched the ball six days. Aiden scored six targets. Finished the game.
The sport has been altered by the fresh ruck rules. There is now a greater hitting area for the tackling who is run and jump at the game, than the delicate fall from wrestling rugby.
Technically, this shift may benefit flexible midfielders with quick feet like Daicos, who is zigzag into open area and in and out of the scrimmage. Except for Daicos, who held his height as was customary for a modern winger, he was out of the popular zone.

Despite their ball-to-ball battles, the Pies managed to get more than 50 passes in, but their ahead line was lacking.
Jamie Elliott was a key to their overdue charge with two goals despite not touching the game in the first quarter and having only two possessions to three-quarter-time. Before the final term’s most brief cameo, Tim Membrey was inadequate in the first three quarters. Dan McStay also failed to excel in little.
The Pies ‘ two key forth, Membrey and McStay, have only scored two goals in the first two rounds.
