Unsung native Kirsten Rudgeley is undeterred because she is only one shot away from the head of the Women’s Australian Open leaderboard as of the weekend.

The West Australian plans to prepare some home-cooked food for Saturday’s second round of golf at Adelaide’s Kooyonga Golf Club before sticking to her comfortable style.

Rudgeley and her distinguished friend Hannah Green are five under, one strokes slack ahead of France’s Celine Herbin.

Rudgeley, 25, claims that staying with a relative in Adelaide did ease any apprehensions for what will likely be her biggest golfing job trip.

” Really play golf and see what happens, yeah,” Rudgeley remarked.

” I’m staying at my uncle’s, so it’s great that he’s here, and I’m getting homecooked meals and other things, it’s been good.”

Rudgeley, Green, Stephanie Bunque, and Kelsey Bennett ( both four under ) are solid Australians entering the third round, and Minjee Lee, one under, is unafraid to play for his title.

Bunque, who is a poor 620 in the world, made a great four-under-par 68 on Friday to put him in contention.

The 28-year-old from Melbourne said,” It’s so cool.

To be able to set up a nice round and take up that scoreboard coming into the week-end is really exciting because it has a really good atmosphere and it’s really fun.

World No. As the American dependent attempt to become the first regional winner of the available since Karrie Webb in 2014, 9 Green has attracted large galleries and wants more group support.

“I’ll certainly need to rely on them appear this weekend because it’s going to be difficult to try to shut out this tournament,” Green said.

” But I have been in a great place so far,” he said.
