Previous Carlton president Luke Sayers claims his wife dumped photos from his phone before calling him in defamation after an image scandal involving a vulgar photo.

Sayers asserts in a defense that he has always intervened to shield his partner Cate and their children from suffering and emotional distress, and that he took the secret photo for health reasons, in a defense filed with the Victorian Supreme Court.

The original PwC chief executive claimed that in a bid to defend his standing, he gave the AFL a legal declaration about how he believed the picture came to be published on X.

According to Rees ‘ attorneys,” He felt compelled to respond to the fabricated claim that he had published the X post.”

Rees ‘ penis was tagged by a sexual manager at Blues partner Bupa on a photo that was posted on his X accounts for 13 days in January of last year.

Sayers claims in court documents that he had the image removed after learning of it and that he had not used the X account.

He then went through an AFL integrity system investigation for which he provided a legal charter outlining how it had happened.

Sayers alleges in court documents that Cate used his password to “access, view, copy, and/or download from Luke’s mobile telephone a large amount of emails, text messages, and photos, including a personal and wealthy review of the legal declaration.”

He claims that Cate didn’t file her lawsuit against him until the information in it became common.

Cate Rees alleges that her father insulted her in the photo and that she was held accountable for posting it.

In addition, Sayers is alleging that she gave false information about her personal life, including her medical and sexual histories.

Cate Sayers claims the statement, which read:” Cate suffers from mental illness and has been prescribed medication by her doctors, which she periodically refuses to take, is untrue; this makes her denials about posting the explicit photo from Mr. Sayers ‘ X account untrue.”

According to her declaration of claim,” the information was used to provide her as unpredictable, dishonest, uneven, emotionally disturbed, and/or presenting as a life risk to her own safety.”

However, Luke Sayers defends his estranged wife’s says that his disclosure of confidential details by him is “vague, embarrassing, and answerable to be struck out.”

Sayers also asserts that because it was made “in the performance of a legitimate, social, professional, or social duty,” the contents of the legal declaration are protected by a competent privilege defense.

According to him, Luke allegedly published the legal declaration to defend his interests in response to an incident that he claimed occurred in a manner that was inappropriate for his character and behavior.

Sayers was found not guilty of any crime by the AFL, but he eventually resigned as Carlton leader. Tenet Advisory was chosen as his namesake consulting agency, Sayers Group. He continues to serve as an executive producer despite reducing his holding by only 1.3 % in the previous year.

Two of the child’s four sons, Bronte and Claudia Sayers, released a speech supporting their parents and promising to provide information in his defense shortly after Cate Sayers started filing for legal action.
