Following a damning legal wisdom, former professional football player Barry Cable will protect historic allegations of child sexual abuse in a legal trial.
The 82-year-old is accused of two matters of unlawful sexual knowledge of a child under 13 and five counts of obscene dealing with a girl under 13 in relation to the case.
The crimes are said to have occurred between January 1, 1967, and April 27, 1968.
The Western Australian District Court judge-only test is scheduled to start on March 18 and move from Tuesday through March 18.
The former North Melbourne person abused a child for more than five decades from 1968 when she was 12 years old, according to a civil trial in the same judge in 2023.
Because Cable had been declared bankrupt, the sufferer was awarded$ 818,700 in restitution, but according to her attorney, she was expected to receive “zero” settlement.
There was also convincing evidence that the former football player had harmed other children, according to the civil trial prosecutor.
Cable, who has consistently vowed to have the civil court case proceedings completely halted and who has not been to the test, denies the maltreatment.
