After KIIS FM’s owners terminated her$ 10 million a year contract, Jackie” O” Henderson has spoken with an attorney and stated that she did not intend to leave her radio show with Kyle Sandilands.

In response to what she described as” debate and misconceptions” about her exit this week, Henderson said she wanted to make clear that she had not abandon or resigned.

Henderson stated on Tuesday that she had told the television station ARN, which owns the KIIS community and hosted the Kyle &amp, Jackie O Show, that she was unable to work with Sandilands. It claimed that her$ 100 million, 10-year contract had been terminated, but it instead offered her a new show under unspecified terms. Sandilands was suspended for two weeks by ARN, which threatened to terminate his contract unless he could correct what it termed” major misconduct.”

I’m greatly depressed by the events of the past week and the probability of the present ending, Henderson said in a statement to her boss GemmaO’Neill. As it has happened to everyone else, this has come as a surprise to me.

It has been really heartbreaking to see how this has turned out, and the latest media narrative does not accurately reflect what actually happened. I am unable to say something more at this point because I am addressing this through the appropriate legal channels.

” Thank you to everyone who has offered heartfelt condolences during a very difficult period.

The pair signed a 10-year deal in 2023 worth$ 200 million. That agreement started last year and was scheduled to continue until the close of 2034. However, according to company publications, the conditions of that commitment, which have not been disclosed, require the couple to give The Kyle &amp, Jackie O Show up.

After the agency’s plans to expand the present into Melbourne resulted in bad ratings and launch in Brisbane and Adelaide, the break-up of Australia’s most popular internet characters has been in the news for a while.

Henderson allegedly started obsessing over astrology and was distracted from her job during a life telecast on February 20 when Sandilands berated her.

Everyone in this tower has mentioned it to me, Sandilands said during the show as she fought back tears. “You’re off with the fairies, you’re unfocused, you don’t give a crap,” Sandilands said.

Henderson’s speech was not made available for comment by ARN.

However, many mature company sources who spoke unnamed because of the sensitive legal issues surrounding the issue claimed to be surprised by the statement’s language and content.

One KIIS inside said,” We’re all scratching our heads in around.” If you come to ARN and say,” I didn’t work with Kyle,” you can’t fulfill your contract if you are contracted to provide the Kyle &amp, Jackie O display. Why does she believe she still has a right to her$ 10 million annually?

According to another source,” ARN would have to be jealous not to include a clause in their contracts that state they are specifically contracted to deliver the Kyle &amp, Jackie O show,” despite having no personally seen Sandilands or Henderson’s deals. And it is true that ARN lured them into working as a duo with Southern Cross Austereo, their former employers.

The source claimed that Sandilands and Henderson’s pay parity “is further evidence that they’re contracted to deliver a specific product, which is the Kyle &amp, Jackie O show.”

Sources familiar with the&nbsp, Kyle &amp, Jackie O&nbsp, show expect Sandilands to sue over the terms of his contract, which ARN is expected to terminate unless he can persuade Henderson to return to the show they broadcast together, according to a previous masthead.

The situation would become clear once Henderson’s legal claim was filed, according to media and entertainment lawyer Shaun Miller, the firm’s principal.

Miller doesn’t see the ARN and Henderson contracts, but he thinks ARN could legitimately argue that terminating her agreement was appropriate.

She effectively says,” I can no longer deliver on my contract,” when she says she can no longer work with Kyle. That is the argument made by ARN, and they are correct. The premise of her engagement has come to an end with her resuming her participation in the show.

I can’t imagine ARN boxing themselves into that circumstance. I very much doubt there would have been a clause in the contract that stated that if Jackie O had left the Kyle and Jackie O show, she would be automatically entitled to another role there. Currently, ARN may want to work with Jackie in a new role, and Jackie may or may not want to accept it, but that would need to be agreed upon by the parties.

Although Miller claimed to not know Henderson’s legal strategy, it will be based on the assertion that ARN violated her employment contract. Jackie may feel this, but that doesn’t mean that ARN has broken any of her agreements.

You could argue that their combined commercial value is higher than if they had been engaged separately if [ Henderson and Sandilands ] have been working together for 27 years.
Miller claimed a confidential clause in Henderson’s contract might limit what she can reveal about the terms and conditions of her employment.

Sandilands and Henderson have frequently been the subject of heated exchanges and stunts, but they have always prevailed.

However, their show, which is currently suspended, had become a financial drag for ARN because it had failed in the Melbourne market and was being targeted by activists, which had hurt its appeal to advertisers.
