As Formula One prepares for the biggest revamp of its rules, Oscar Piastri is ready to accept the mysterious and expect a history of being a quick reader pays out.

Piastri is a well-known strong person, having won F3 and F2 in his first two months before taking home a pulpit in his first F1 season in 2023.

And he thinks that the obscure might be a part of his life.

” I like to think that doing stuff for a purpose is usually an important thing for me,” Piastri said.

” The quicker you try and learn, the more I understand about these vehicles. And I believe that understanding the tasks I must complete very swiftly comes from me.

But hopefully that will be advantageous.

Due to the rule changes, McLaren no longer is guaranteed to be as fast as it was when Lando Norris ‘ partner Lando Piastri won the championship in 2025.

However, Piastri was next season’s most improved, much like the Woking-based outfit have usually been the best at providing mid-year improvements in recent years.

The 24-year-old’s wheel management considerably improved, as did his performance over the final two thirds of the season prior to the late-year fadeout.

With the vehicles of this year, they’re so unique. We’re talking about changing issues that we’ve never actually thought about before becoming race-car drivers, he said.

” That’s a pretty new method, but what I learned from it last year was that it worked very well,” I think.

” I believe you may use that to anything,” I say.
