Oscar Piastri, a Formula 1 warrior, has taken a break from the hustle and bustle of his hometown in preparation for this season’s season-opening large, but he wants to start on the network come Sunday.
Piastri, who is a native of Brighton, is spotted at the opulent Mornington Peninsula hub Jackalope over the weekend with his spouse Lily.
The 24-year-old, however, was surrounded by yelling supporters on Tuesday evening for a company’s event on Little Collins Street in Melbourne’s CBD, but he hardly looked unfazed by the more interest as he conducted internet conversations.
He claimed that while he was returning from Australia a few days ago, he couldn’t immediately notice his mother, Nicole.

Piastri returns to Melbourne with the assumption that he will carry the weight of expectation, no longer as the savant.
This week’s grand race will shift the focus from event to examination following his stellar 2025 season, which included seven grand race victories over the two he won during his breakout 2024 campaign.
But his main focus is on this week’s season opener and how he’ll train his 2026 vehicles.
Given the numerous regulations that have been changed, Piastri, along with several other drivers in the F1 network, including four-time world champion Max Verstappen, is still cautious of the new vehicles.
” Maybe I’ll be on shaft Sunday,” Piastri said.
The Mornington Peninsula’s lovely Jackalope Hotel is the setting.
” I believe the engines – the energy units– are the biggest changes. They are very different from what we’ve had in F1, actually, for the past ten years.
I believe anyone is carefully regaining their minds around that. Fans will likely notice a little bit differently this trip than it did last season, but that’s probably going to be the biggest thing [the engine ]].
” That influences everyone, including how you set up the car, how you drive the car, how you manage the device, and how you conduct a contest start,” he said. Therefore, it’s likely that the beginning will be quite exciting.
With a nearly 50/50 divide between electric and fire authority under the new regulations, the 2026 cars represent one of Formula 1 history’s most important technological changes.
However, everyone will be fighting the new regulations in the same way, and the Melburnian has already established himself as one of the best vehicles in the world.
There is a bigger reward in view besides the sounds of Albert Park this trip. Piastri may want to become the first American to win the world championship since Alan Jones in 1980, as he did last season when he finished second on the last day of the year.
Piastri’s biggest issue is… He will be leaving Melbourne on Monday or Tuesday at the latest, according to his staff, which will leave him without missing his darling Tigers ‘ match against arch-rivals Carlton on Thursday night.
