Benny Blanco has responded to online criticism over a viral moment from his new podcast, after viewers commented on the appearance of his feet in the first episode. The issue was raised during his February 26 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he addressed the backlash directly.
Benny Blanco recently launched his podcast Friends Keep Secrets with rapper Lil Dicky. After the February 24 premiere episode, a photo circulated online showing Blanco sitting barefoot on Lil Dicky’s couch. Several social media users reacted to what they believed were dirty feet, posting comments about hygiene and joking about the condition of the floors.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Blanco was asked about the online reactions by the host. Responding to the controversy, Blanco said the dirt was not actually his and joked, “It’s not mine.” He then removed a sock during the show to show his foot and added, “Look at that clean foot. Are you kidding me?”
Lil Dicky, who was also a guest on Kimmel’s show, also addressed the situation, explaining that the floors may have been dirty because it was the first day of filming and crew members had been moving equipment around.
Days after the clip went viral, singer and actor Selena Gomez appeared to show her support for her husband Benny. She shared a video of the couple kissing on Instagram and wrote, “I fall more and more in love with you every day my love,” a post that many fans interpreted as a response to the criticism.
Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez began dating in 2023 and were married in a private ceremony in Santa Barbara on September 27, 2025.
