Officials in Washington shot and killed a person in his early 20s as he attempted to enter Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago team in Florida with a shotgun and a gasoline is, according to authorities.

At around 1.30 a.m. on Sunday ( Florida time ), the man was confronted by two Secret Service agents and a local police officer who had entered the property’s secure perimeter.

Trump was hosting a game for state governors at the White House in Washington at the time, but he was not there.

According to Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw, the sheriff’s deputy and the Secret Service agents instructed the man to “drop the products.” Therefore, according to Bradshaw, he “raised the gun to a firing position” by putting down the gas can.

The lieutenant and two Secret Service agents fired their weapons at that time, neutralizing the risk, according to the statement. He is no longer alive at the field.

Rules police were not hurt. Authorities waited until the next of kin received a warning to relieve the man’s name. He was described as a pale man in his early 20s.

However, according to a source with knowledge of the situation, the Associated Press identified him as Austin Tucker Martin, age 21, in a citation. Because they were not permitted to discuss specifics of the research in public, the man spoke on the condition of anonymity.

During the 2024 election campaign, Trump has faced many challenges to his career, including an attempted assassination while speaking at a protest in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Thomas Crooks, 20, allegedly grazed Trump’s neck and fatally shot another rally participant before being shot useless by the Secret Service.

While Trump was playing golf at the Trump International Golf Club in Florida, Ryan Wesley Routh was discovered aiming a rifle through the trees. Rush was eventually discovered and detained, and earlier this month, he was given a life sentence.

Conventional activist Charlie Kirk was killed last year while speaking on campus at a school in Utah. In another work of politically motivated violence, Melissa Hortman, a Democrat politician in the state of Minnesota, was killed along with her husband in June.

Trump’s deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller noted that Democrats fought back against passing a financing costs for the Department of Homeland Security, including the Secret Service, due to concerns about immigration authorities like ICE.

Federal law enforcement has never been deliberately defunded before, Miller said on X.
