Astral Weeks

Northbridge

This cosy listening bar tucked away in the Chinatown part of Northbridge is the perfect place to wander to for a post-show drink so you can have deep discussions about what you just watched, or at least smile and nod and pretend you understood the baffling metaphor in the second act.

Winston Small Bar

Northbridge

Right across the road from the State Theatre Centre, this newish bar is a great spot if you are looking for some light nibbles and a decent cocktail after seeing a show.

With a focus on New Orleans-style jazz and blues, this moody bar is perfect for a date night.

If you stumble out of His Majesty’s Theatre on the hunt for a good time or at least a stiff drink, this American whiskey den is a short three-minute walk from the Maj.

They also do food and take bookings for the restaurant and bar if you want to make sure you get a spot.

Foxtrot Unicorn

Perth

Located on St Georges Terrace, midway between His Majesty’s Theatre and The Embassy at the Perth Town Hall, this is a great spot for a pre or post-show tipple.

Not only do these guys make a mean cocktail, but they also serve fancy jaffles, which is sometimes exactly what you need.

If you have gone to watch some high art and feel you need to descend into a gritty dive bar to bring you down to earth, then get yourself to this absolute gem of a bar down a narrow staircase off Barrack Street.

They sling pretty excellent pizzas till late, too. A one-minute walk from The Embassy.
