Mary Fowler’s long-awaited returning to foreign basketball has been confirmed by her inclusion in Australia’s club for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup next month.
Fowler, who injured her leg in April of last year while playing for Manchester City, made a 15-minute comeback from behind the couch.
The 23-year-old intruder hasn’t played since, but Matildas manager Joe Montemurro has tipped her for a spot in his 26-player crew for the Cup, which is being hosted by Australia.
