After the Foo Fighters fired him, Drummer Josh Freese has insisted that no one” may feel sorry for him.”

The sticksman joined Dave Grohl’s group after Taylor Hawkins ‘ long-distance died in 2022, but he immediately left and has since resurrected with former rings Nine Inch Nails and Weezer.

Freese has refuted claims that he had a” strong season” because he is currently very happy with his career.

He told Modern Drummer magazine,” Man, you’ve had a strong time,” he just said.

” And I thought, actually, genuinely?” The Foo Fighters phenomenon is now over. That was a speck, great package.

The fact that I’ve been playing some indicates with Weezer, working in the workshop with everyone from Danny Elfman to Billy Idol, and doing some travelling with Nine Inch Nails and A Great Circle.

” I feel like I’m returning to where I belong. Trust me, no one should have compassion for me.

Freese acknowledged that he was “in impact” when Foo Fighters let him leave.

He claimed that he was enjoying a day off with A Great Circle and the Primus men the day it occurred.

” All was enthralled and asking me what the heck happened,” he continued.

I only recall thinking that I was truly appreciative of going on a trip with my friends and a great team and playing tunes I liked with people I’ve had a lengthy history with.

Freese argued that the factors Foo Fighters fired him were also a” unknown” to him, especially given how easily his departure appeared to have come about.

I have a few little ideas, but I didn’t really get into them at this point, he said.

But, I really enjoyed the two years I spent with those people, and they were kind to me until they weren’t.

” I enjoyed playing with them. And I adored Dave ( Grohl ) serving as the bandleader. I have a great regard for him because he is a drummer in particular.

It was really nice being a member of a band with a tremendous drummer in your heart.

” I liked being around those people. They treated me well and were good, which only adds to how complicated the situation is.

I don’t suppose I’m a very good reader, but I didn’t expect that.

” One day it was everything but laughs, we were on stage, and Dave kept staring at me like, “You’re killing it, fella,” he said. And then it was all gone.
