Summer Bay favourites Ada Nicodemou and James Stewart have announced their engagement, turning their roller-coaster on-screen romance into the real deal and sealing it in public.
The couple shared the moment James got down on one knee near Coogee Beach in Sydney on social media.
In the post on Sunday, Ada — wearing a huge diamond engagement ring — said: “I said yes!”
The footage shows James proposing to Ada then putting the ring on her finger to large applause as the camera pans around to onlookers.
Lonestar’s hit Amazed begins playing in the background.
James then lifts his fiancee into the air, giving her a huge hug and passionate kiss.
Home and Away co-stars and fans were quick to give their well-wishers to the couple.
“Oh my heart! So thrilled for both of you! Of course Jimmy proposed and you said yes … on Valentines Day!” Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts, said.
“Excellent news! Wishing you guys every happiness always.”
A fan commented: “omg! So, so happy for you both, biggest congrats x”
And another posted: “Best couple on screen and off screen. So happy for you both.”
The celebrity power couple were in Perth in December as part of the 7 Perth Christmas Pageant and are frequent visitors for Telethon.
They went public with their romance in April 2024, the same month their characters were married on screen.
