To prevent their A-League People battle from going off track, Sydney FC are aiming to bring in new additions Apostolos Stamatelopoulos and Ahmet Arslan, starting and firing.
Stamatelopoulos, a product signing from British membership Motherwell, and Turkey midfielder Ahmet Arslan made their debuts in Adelaide United ‘ 2-1 defeat on Saturday night.
Prior to Tuesday’s collision with second-placed Auckland, the Sky Blue have lost two games in a row and three of their previous four games to fall third.
Arslan had four photographs in the match just days after filing, while Stamatelopoulos, a 26-year-old scorer, had three. Neither of those shots caused any issues for the scorers.
Discipline Ufuk Talay stated,” They trained with us on Friday and tried to find a lot of information across to both people.”
” I thought both of them did also when they first came on. Both of them gave us power, and they occasionally had to make a profit, which we both desired.
” To get 30 minutes was positive because AP ( Stamatelopoulos ) hasn’t played a lot of games this season.
” Ahmet has played a few more activities, but never recently, so it’s encouraging to get some moments in his arms, and we’ll continue to build him away.”
The coach was confident that Sydney’s depth and quality would soon increase with the January additions.
Talay said,” Our bench against Victory ( in a 4-0 loss on January 26 ) was very young.
” Today we’ve brought in some people with a little more experience in the game, and the truth is that it’s easier to make changes to affect the game.
Do these men come around to sit on the bench? No, they will be playing for the starting XI.
The main thing is that we must get them to a 90-minute playing age, they say.
Talay also downplayed any concerns about Tiago Quintal, who injured his adductor in the 80th minute and broke his quadriceps.
” Tiago’s great. He was more of a pain than anything else. That’s really important because it wasn’t a quadriceps, Talay said.
” I believed he had a great activity and gave us a lot of energy. I believed he was attempting to “make items arise.”
