There is nothing grander in American sport than the Super Bowl.
The most important match of the NFL season crowns a champion, but also provides eye-catching moments on and off the field.
The Seattle Seahawks were brilliant to claim victory and the club’s second Super Bowl title, but the 29-13 score does not tell the full story.
Here are five quick hits from Super Bowl LX.
1. Patriot arrives dressed as a prisoner in shackles

New England Patriots wide receiver Mack Hollins left his mark on the day by just arriving at the stadium.
The 32-year-old arrived at Levi’s Stadium, the home of the San Francisco 49ers, wearing a prison jumpsuit, with his hands and ankles shackled.
The jumpsuit had “Range 13” written on the back. It was not confirmed what exactly Range 13 meant, but it could be referring to the highest security wing at the ADX Florence supermax prison in Colorado.

Hollins completed the look with a face mask, while also holding a football jersey. That jersey was worn by Hollins during the warm-up. The black, yellow and maroon jersey had the name “Warriors” on the front, with the number 84 and his coach’s name, Vrabel, on the back.
There are entrances to big games, and then there is Hollins’s entrance to the Super Bowl.
2. Dickson’s boot proves vital for Seattle
Australians tuned in on Monday morning, hoping Sydneysider Michael Dickson would give a great account of himself.

Fortunately for Seattle fans, the Australian showed why he is regarded as one of the NFL’s best punters with an excellent performance in the Super Bowl.
Dickson was called upon seven times by his team to punt in the biggest game of the season, and he made his time on the field count.
The former Sydney Swans Academy player averaged 47.86 yards from his seven attempts, with a longest kick of 55 yards.
But it was his three punts that were downed inside New England’s 10-yard line that proved his worth to the Seahawks.
Much will be made of Seattle’s defence, but they were aided by Dickson, who pinned New England’s offence deep in their own end all game.
Holding a 6-0 lead with five minutes left in the first half, the Seahawks coaching staff decided not to be aggressive on 4th and 5 at midfield and sent Dickson on to punt.
The Seahawks’ defence had stifled the Patriots’ offence throughout the contest, and they desperately wanted Dickson to produce a punt that would pin the Patriots deep in their own territory.
The Sydneysider delivered for his team, with a near-perfect punt that went out of bounds at New England’s two-yard line.

Dickson’s best punt of the match came in the fourth quarter when the Super Bowl was on the line.
Seattle held a 19-7 lead, but the Patriots had scored a touchdown on their previous offensive possession to keep the game alive.
A defensive stop from the Patriots continued the momentum swing as Dickson ran onto the field for the sixth time.
Seattle needed a great punt, and the Australian produced.

New England’s returner elected not to catch the ball and let it bounce. The bounce of the ball was perfect for Seattle, as the ball travelled end-over-end towards the Patriots’ goal line.
Seattle downed the ball inside the New England five-yard line, meaning Drake Maye and the Patriots’ offence needed to go the length of the field to score.
Maye would throw an interception, and the game was all but over from that moment.
Dickson’s final act was another punt late in the fourth quarter, which again went out of bounds inside the Pats’ 10-yard line, capping off a terrific match.
The win made Dickson the second Australian to play in the winning Super Bowl, after Jordan Mailata last year with the Philadelphia Eagles.
3. The wedding in Bad Bunny’s half-time show was reportedly real
Who doesn’t love a great Super Bowl half-time show?
Who doesn’t love a wedding?
Well, allegedly, we got both.

During the show, Bad Bunny, a six-time Grammy award winner, handed a ring to a man onstage, who then dropped to one knee and proposed to a woman.
A few songs later, that couple were wed, and Lady Gaga emerged as a guest performer.
And according to seasoned sport reporter Rohan Nadkarni, who works for NBC, the host broadcaster of the Super Bowl, the wedding was legitimate.
“A source familiar with Bad Bunny’s performance tonight tells me that the couple in the half-time show got married for real,” Nadkarni wrote on X.
“They invited Bad Bunny to their wedding, and in turn, he invited them to get married during his performance.”

4. Another Drake has a nightmare Super Bowl
One of the main talking points from last year’s Super Bowl was the half-time performance from Kendrick Lamar.
Kendrick was involved in a well-publicised feud with fellow hip-hop artist Drake, which gripped the music industry across 2024 and 2025.
Kendrick’s half-time show was seen as stoking the fire with Drake, which you can read all about here.
In 2026, it was a different Drake who was having a nightmare Super Bowl.
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye came into this game with plenty of confidence.
The 23-year-old on Monday became the second-youngest QB to start a Super Bowl, just days after coming a narrow second in the NFL MVP count, behind winner Matthew Stafford.
But any confidence Maye had coming into the Super Bowl was quickly extinguished by the terrific Seattle defence.
Maye was harassed by the Seattle defence, known as the Dark Side, from the start of the match.
The young QB was sacked six times in the Super Bowl, and committed three turnovers in the fourth quarter.
Seattle’s fifth sack of Maye was the first dagger landed in the fourth quarter.

Seattle’s Derick Hall was able to get to Maye and knock the ball loose, which was recovered by Byron Murphy.
Seattle would go on to score the first touchdown of the game to extend the lead to 19-7.
Maye was able to produce a nice drive and connect with Hollins for a touchdown to reduce the deficit to 12 points, but an interception with less than nine minutes to play ended any hope of a miraculous comeback.
The second interception ended all hope. Down 22-7, Maye was hit as he threw the ball.

The ball popped into the air and was intercepted by Uchenna Nwosu for the pick-six, sealing the Super Bowl win for Seattle.
5. Walker runs, and runs, and runs to become MVP
Super Bowl LX was dominated by the defences.
Seattle’s defence was outstanding to guide their team to a Super Bowl title. New England’s defensive unit played a solid game that sadly will be lost to the history books.
But in a match dominated by defence, Seattle running back Kenneth Walker III was the one offensive player to make his mark.
Walker was handed the football for 27 carries, achieving 135 yards in Super Bowl LX.
He became the first player to rush for more than 100 yards in a Super Bowl since Damien WIlliams for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020.
Walker’s 94 yards in the first half were the second most by a player in the first half of a Super Bowl since Washington’s Timmy Smith in 1988 during Super Bowl XXII, when he ran for a record 131 yards in the first half, and a record 204 yards for the Super Bowl.
Walker was also a factor in the passing game, catching two balls for 26 yards.
