An elderly couple from Rajasthan got married after spending 70 years in a live-in relationship. The groom, 95-year-old Rama Bhai Angari, and the bride, 90-year-old Jivali Devi, married each other in Galandar village of Dungarpur district in the presence of their family and villagers.

The couple raised eight children: four sons and two daughters, and have several grandchildren. Amongst their children, four currently serve in government roles. Their eldest son, Baku Angari (60), is a farmer. The second son, Shivram (55), and the third, Kantilal (52), are teachers. Laxman (52) also works as a farmer. Their daughters, Sunita and Anita, are a teacher and a nurse, respectively.

Rama Bhai and Jivali Devi never had a formal wedding, but their bond stood the test of time. When they finally expressed their desire to formalise their relationship with traditional rituals, their children not only supported them but went all out to celebrate it.

The couple’s wedding included all the usual customs: haldi, mehndi, and a full-fledged Bindora procession with DJs, dancing, and village-wide celebrations.

Villagers joined in the festivities, and thousands gathered to witness the ceremony. Photos and videos from the event went viral.

Their sons and daughters made sure every tradition was followed. From taking seven sacred rounds to feeding guests, the ceremony was as grand as any other wedding. The bride and groom were seen smiling throughout, surrounded by family and love.

The couple’s story stands as a quiet yet powerful reminder that love, when real, doesn’t need validation but deserves celebration.
