Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are all set to lock horns in a two-match T20I series. The matches will take place on May 17 and 19 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The series is a preparation for the Tigers before they head to Pakistan for a five-match series.
Bangladesh will start their journey under new skipper Litton Das, who has replaced Najmul Hossain Shanto at the helm. Bowling all-rounder Mahedi Hasan was named as Litton’s deputy.

Last year, in December, Litton led Bangladesh to a 3-0 series win against the West Indies after Shanto was ruled out due to a hamstring injury. The Dinajpur-born batter has also led the Tigers in one Test and seven ODIs.
As far as the UAE are concerned, they will be depending heavily on their premier batter, Muhammad Waseem. Since Waseem’s debut in October 2021, no batter has scored more runs in T20Is than the right-hander.
