Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate WAVES 2025 today in Mumbai. The World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit is a first-of-its-kind event and a four-day summit. It is exploring the theme ‘Connecting Creators, Connecting Countries’, and aims to strengthen India’s position as an entertainment and creative innovation hub.
The grand event will witness the presence of several celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth Aamir Khan, and Karan Johar, among others. It is expected to be a mix of intelligent conversations, an expression of India’s strength as a soft power, and a wonderful experience of arts and creativity in front of the world.
The first day of the event comprises a 30-member orchestra by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani, a classical ensemble by Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Yella Venketaswara Rao and Ronu Majumdar, scintillating performances by Tetseo Sisters, JHAALA, Shreya Ghoshal, KING x Alan Walker, and a cinematic act by veteran actor Anupam Kher. Several cultural dance skits will also be seen on the first day of the event, followed by Maharashtra Ki Lokdhara, a special performance featuring the folk heritage of the state. A grand showcase of film music journey by Shankar Mahadevan is also in the pipeline.
