When Delhi Capitals got off to a flyer in the IPL 2025 season, many tipped them to be the most-balanced side in the tournament this year. Winning four out of their first four games, the Capitals fans were dreaming of that elusive first IPL title as the likes of KL Rahul, Mitchell Starc and captain Axar Patel were leading the way from the front.

But this was all before DC returned to their true home, the Arun Jaitley stadium. At the iconic ground, the fortunes of the Capitals have been a mystery. They capitulated against MI in their first home game and needed a super over to beat RR. They got a good start with the ball against RCB before a Krunal Pandya storm blew them away.
So, they have lost two out of their three games in Delhi and Capitals will be aiming to bounce back as the defending champions KKR come to town. The fortunes of the 3-time champions haven’t been great.
Kolkata find themselves in a do-or-die situation for the rest of the season after the match against PBKS was washed out. With seven points from nine matches, Kolkata need answers and fast. But they will go up against a well-rounded DC side, who would want to book their spot in the play-offs quickly and get a convincing win in front of their home crowd.

For KKR, they handed Rovman Powell and Chetan Sakariya debuts in the washed-out game against PBKS. Powell didn’t get a chance to shine at the Eden Gardens and we can expect him to remain in the lineup for the game on Tuesday.
