“The youth who was attacked has filed a complaint as well. The Wing Commander hails from Bengal and is absconding for now. The police are investigating,” Parameshwara said.

The incident came into the limelight after Bose claimed in a video that he was left with a bloodied face after the motorbiker hit him. However, the bike rider, Vikas, alleged Bose’s car hit his vehicle first. When he confronted the IAF officer, Bose got down from his car and pushed him as well as his bike to the ground, as per Vikas’s complaint. Vikas also alleged that Bose attempted to choke his neck to kill him.

Bengaluru Twist: IAF Officer Booked For Attempted Murder, Provoking Breach Of Peace As New Videos Emerge

Several videos of the incident surfaced on social media showing a physical confrontation between the officer and the biker.

Meanwhile, sources in Bengaluru Police said the couple is not providing them footage of the dash cam installed in their car. Bose’s wife has claimed that the device was locked and the password was with her husband who is in Kolkata.

“She also claimed that part of the device was with her husband. The officer, in his initial video, claimed that the incident had been captured on his car’s dash cam. But the couple is not cooperating with the probe and is yet to share the footage,” police sources said.

IAF Officer Booked For Attempt To Murder

Bose has been booked on charges of ‘attempt to murder’ and falsely claiming that he was assaulted by the biker for not speaking Kannada, in the Bengaluru road rage case.

An First Information Report (FIR) was registered after a formal complaint was received by the police from the bike rider, Vikas.

Sections 109 (attempt to murder), 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 304 (snatching), 324 (mischief), and 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) have been invoked against the IAF officer.

As per the FIR, Bose first attacked the biker, while the man on the two-wheeler just retaliated in self-defence. Thereafter, Bose thrashed the biker. Bose later lied and alleged he was attacked by the biker for not speaking Kannada.

According to the charges, such lies could give way to language/racial tensions. The IAF officer falsely claimed he was with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). He made false claims about the attack and uploaded the video on social media.

Bose also attempted to use military higher-ups and tried to mislead them on the entire incident to hush up the case.
