At least four people were killed and several others feared trapped after a four-storey building collapsed in Shakti Vihar area of the national capital in the early hours of Saturday. A CCTV footage of the incident is also being circulated online.
The video captures the sudden collapse of the building within a few seconds. It begins with a section of the building collapsing. Within moments, the entire structure crumbles, sending massive clouds of dust billowing outward. The surrounding area is quickly engulfed in a thick haze, obscuring visibility. In the last few seconds of the video, the dense dust completely blankets the camera’s view, leaving nothing visible.

According to an official quoted by PTI, nearly 22 people were trapped under the debris following the collapse that happened at nearly 3:02 a.m. at Dayalpur police station.
According to the official, a team of police rushed to the spot right after receiving the information.
While 14 people have been evacuated, the officials believe there are eight to ten people still eared trapped under the debris.
In a separate incident that took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut, two members of a family were killed after the roof of their house collapsed during a strong storm in this district on Friday evening. The deceased include a woman and her nine-month-old daughter.
The incident that took place in Lisadi Gate area injured three other family members.
