American police have released the mugshots of Hawthorn footballers Dylan Moore and Connor Macdonald, revealing the pair were 2½ metres off the ground on a lift when they were arrested.
In a statement, the Scottsdale Police Department said that Moore and Macdonald were detained for criminal trespass in a car park near central Scottsdale, in Arizona, at 10.47pm on November 8.

“While on patrol, officers spotted two people on a boom lift about [eight] feet high in the air,” Sergeant Allison Sempsis said.
“The subjects were contacted and told to come down. They were identified as Dylan Moore and Connor Macdonald. Connor and Dylan climbed down, and they were both placed under arrest for trespassing.”
Seven News revealed the pair’s off-season arrest on Tuesday after the revelation was kept quiet for months.

Moore was vice captain when he was detained with his younger teammate, but has since lost the role and expressed remorse in a television interview.
“I was out having a few drinks and made a foolish mistake,” he said. “[I] decided to get on a scissor lift. Next thing I know, the cops are there telling me to get off. I got off, and the next thing I know, I’m in police custody.”
Scottsdale Police said Moore and Macdonald were taken to their downtown jail, “where they were booked and held in custody due to their out-of-country residency”.
The pair were charged with third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanour with a presumed fine of $US250 ($355).

Moore was also initially hit with a more serious misdemeanour drug paraphernalia charge, but it was later dismissed at the request of the Scottsdale City Attorney.
The Hawthorn forward refused to provide further information about the discontinued drug charge on Seven News earlier this week.
Macdonald, meanwhile, hasn’t spoken publicly about his arrest.
Moore and Macdonald were in Phoenix for an off-season trip where they visited the gym of high-performance company Exos, which specialises in training elite athletes.
Moore said he would always regret his arrest and experienced a range of emotions when he was locked up in jail.
“I felt a bit of disappointment, regret, stress, anxiety,” he told Seven.
“I was in a cell overnight not knowing if my friends and family knew in Australia. It was all just disappointment and fear of what they’re going to think.”
Moore did not explain the full circumstances leading up to him climbing onto a scissor lift – commonly used on construction sites to lift people and materials.
Local police said the Hawthorn duo were detained near 4400 N 75th Street in Scottsdale, which is in the city’s entertainment district.
Court records show Moore has a sentencing hearing at the Scottsdale City Court on July 13, while Macdonald will hear his fate on August 4.
Hawthorn also fined the pair and said they would undergo alcohol counselling and complete community service.
“They were tough calls to make back home,” Moore said.
“It was scary because all they wanted to do was help me, but I was on the other side of the world.

“I feel quite sorry for [coach] Sam [Mitchell]. I disappointed him and the fellow leaders.
“I was vice captain at the time, and I should be recognising situations like that and knowing the consequences there is, and having Connor there with me, as an older player, I should know better.”
In a press conference on Wednesday, Mitchell said Moore and Macdonald made poor decisions, but described them as “really good young lads”.
“I was very disappointed when first hearing about it,” Mitchell said. “But it was a few months ago now. And they have done every single thing that you would expect of them since then. So there’s a big part of us that has moved on.”
Asked about the further details revealed on Thursday, a Hawthorn spokesperson said: “We have addressed this matter publicly in recent days. Dylan and Connor have both accepted responsibility for their behaviour and have shown remorse.”
The managers of Moore and Macdonald have been contacted for further comment.
